Saffron (Crocus sativus, L.) spice widely used in Middle Eastern dishes. It has also been used in traditional Persian medicine to relieve stomachaches, ease the pain of kidney stones, & treat depression.In traditional Chinese system, saffron was used as & agent to improve blood circulation & cure the bruise. Some studies suggest that saffron may also have benefits of anticancer & memory-enhancing activities. Saffron has been used as a seasoning, fragrance, dye,& medicine for more than 3,000 years.
